About Shawna

A licensed Realtor since 2000, Shawna's commitment to personal service, excellence and dedication are second to none. In fact, most of her business comes from repeat clients and customer referrals.

She spent time at Century 21, Re/Max, Keller Williams and Better Homes & Gardens Realty. While at Re/Max, she was part of a Top Producing Real Estate Team. In 2007, she formed the Pinnacle Group Real Estate Team, which was named one of Keller Williams International Top 50 Teams of 2009 and received numerous awards with Better Homes & Gardens Mason-McDuffie Realty, including being the #3 top producing team in the company in 2010. With all the diversity she has enjoyed in her real estate career, Shawna took it to the next level and opened Poppy Realty. Her passion for real estate and how to provide amazing customer service on all levels, not only benefits her clients but now her agents as well.

Shawna has been very actively involved in her local and state Realtor associations and was on the Board of Directors for both, for over 5 years. In 2008, she was the proud recipient of her association's Realtor of the Year award. Her passion for supporting the real estate industry as a whole shows in many other things she contributed to including creating Bay East Associations first Realtor® Academy, for which she earned the Distinguished John A. Deadrich Award (in 2005) and also was a co-founder in Bay East Associations Young Real Estate Professionals Network.

Shawna earned her bachelor's degree in political science with an emphasis on pre-law. Some of her designations include GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute), CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert), e-PRO (Real Estate Internet Professional) and AHWD (At Home With Diversity).

Born in Palo Alto, California, Shawna has been a Bay Area native and resident for more than 40 years. She serves clients throughout Alameda, Contra Costa and Santa Clara Counties, focusing on residential real estate and specializes in foreclosures, short sales and multi-family homes. Since 2008, she has sold more than 350 properties - over $50 million in sales volume.

In her spare time, Shawna enjoys photography, digital crafting and gardening. She has a 5-year-old child, and is just loves being a mom. She's also involved with Go Red for Women and pancreatic cancer research.
