Shelley Martin

Shelley Martin, a lifelong resident of Northeast Tennessee, has deep roots in the community. After earning a degree in English and Education from King University, Shelley dedicated a decade to teaching at Sullivan Central High School, her alma mater. She furthered her education with a Master’s Degree in School Library Media from ETSU and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Union College.

Shelley's experience in education reinforced her passion for working with people and building relationships based on trust, respect, and loyalty. Her family background also shaped her values; her grandfather, a residential contractor in Bristol for fifty years, instilled qualities that Shelley carries forward. Her father, Mark Wingate, has contributed to the region for decades through his craftsmanship in building decks and porches.

While construction isn't her focus, Shelley has always been captivated by how people transform houses into homes, whether they're new constructions or fixer-uppers. Home, for Shelley, is shared with her husband, Chris, and their children, Jack and Joli. They are active members of First Baptist Church in Blountville.
