Sherry Blackmon

Native Georgian. UGA Grad. Recognized Leader In South Atlanta Real Estate.

Sherry is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Before entering real estate she enjoyed working on award-winning advertising campaigns, developing marketing skills which have proven invaluable to her real estate clients. Since becoming a licensed REALTOR in 2001 and obtaining her broker’s license in 2004, Sherry has specialized in assisting clients in metro Atlanta. Sherry was the Sales Manager of the Builder Services Group of The Home Source Realtors, leading the new homes sales teams in Avery Park and SummerGrove to a record-breaking sales year.
Sherry was elected President of the Newnan-Coweta Board of REALTORS in 2008, and was honored as their 2005 REALTOR of the Year. Sherry also served as President of the Fayette Women’s Council of Realtors Chapter in 2005. Sherry has earned the CRS and GRI designations and serves as a Certified Facilitator for the Georgia Association of REALTORS.
A native of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, Sherry has lived in metro Atlanta since the 1980s, and as an empty nester moved from the suburbs back ITP. She enjoys attending art events, reading stacks of books collected at book festivals, and Saori weaving.
