Sophia recognizes the importance of the health of the environment on our wellbeing and on the sustainability of the community. She has lived and traveled abroad, finding a second home in the surrounding beaches and jungles of Drake Bay in Costa Rica. Sophia earned a BA in Sustainability Studies and Economics with Business Administration minor at the University of Florida. Sophia is enthusiastic about protecting the environment and has a special interest in sustainably built homes including those that are LEED-certified. Since her youth, she has been interested in ecological restoration efforts and currently serves as the secretary for an environmental nonprofit based in Washington state. During her leisure time, Sophia enjoys the natural splendor of area beaches and state parks as well as savoring the many local offerings of fine cuisine. Always wanting to discover new experiences, you can find her at local events, scuba diving, on the yoga mat, playing tennis, or planning her next trip.
