About Spencer
One of the best things about Spencer’s job is that he gets to work with the most fascinating and inspiring people in the world: entrepreneurs. Every day he gets to hear their stories—stories about what led them to build their businesses, about the strategies they’ve used to solve problems, and about how they navigate an evolving tech industry. He leads the investment development team at Turn/River in defining and carrying out our deal origination and execution strategies. The investment development team links the enterprise software world to T/R, introducing new businesses to our mission and strategy. Technology’s impact on business and the world as a whole has interested him since high school. He attended UC Berkeley to immerse himself in the tech industry and received a B.S. in environmental economics and policy. Spencer has been working in the enterprise software world for over a decade. For the first half of his career, he led go-to-market and sales efforts with a Fortune 100 software company and a venture-backed start-up. Before joining T/R, Spencer also helped direct corporate development for an enterprise software-focused M&A shop, where he scaled SaaS businesses.
