My wife and I have lived in Arlington, VA for more than ten years. We know Arlington very well and enjoy a support network of friends and local business owners. After our daughter [Isabelle] was born we started giving more attention to the local schools and noticed that our address doesn’t offer very good schools. Certainly private schools are an option or moving into another part of Northern Virginia. But the homes in areas that offer the best schools start around $1 million and that is outside of our budget. We started looking around and widening our search with schools being our first priority. We even hired a Northern Virginia realtor to help us find a new home. But everything available was far from new, expensive and the schools didn’t meet our expectations. So we widened our search again and Charlotte, NC popped up on our map. Charlotte seemed fantastic with a rich history that also offered homes and schools that exceeded our expectations. Problem was, we didn’t know anyone from Charlotte. Who would we call? Who could we trust? We have friends all of the world but we didn’t know anyone in Charlotte! For home searching we had been using Trulia(r), Zillow(r) and didn’t. One of the homes that we really liked in Waxhaw, NC was listed by Stacy Vinson from Keller Williams. We knew a lot about the Keller Williams brand and thought why not reach out Stacey and see what happens. Our first conversation with Stacey was remarkable. She was professional but also very personable in that she seemed to understand exactly what we wanted. My wife and I indicated that we had a few days of travel to visit Charlotte and were hopeful to learn more about the area and see some homes that might fit our criteria. Stacey agreed to meet with us last minute and over a holiday! From the moment that we arrived in Charlotte, Stacey had a list of homes and an aggressive schedule to see them. We loved it! Stacey is filled with southern charm and hospitality. And what was truly remarkable about Stacey is that she was able to filter the list of homes she had for us based on the feedback we provided her in real time. Incredible! Every home we visited was more acutely tuned to our feedback. In fact, we signed a contract for the home on the spot and are very excited to be moving in May 2014. My family and I recently relocated from Connecticut to North Carolina, and Stacey was amazing! She was attentive and responsive throughout the entire process - sending listings ahead of time to get a feel for what we were looking for and constantly narrowing our search to our criteria, not only of home needs, but also school districts and neighborhoods we were interested in. My wife and I came down for a 3 day trip that she jammed with showings and by day 2 we had found the home we were looking for! By dinner that night we had a contract in place and were on our way to being new home owners and North Carolina residents. Stacey listened to all of our feedback, adjusted, and came up with new options on the fly for us. I cannot recommend her more highly to anyone looking for a new home. The entire experience was pleasurable and she will intervene when problems arise to alleviate any unnecessary stress.
