Me and my fiancé were first time home buyers and interviewed multiple realtors. What sealed the deal with Stephen was on our first interview when he spent over TWO HOURS with us, after his office had closed, to get to know who we were, our lifestyles, and what would be the best fit for our goals. He was never pushy or “salesy” during the first meeting, or throughout the rest of the process.

Stephen nailed it! I entered the home buying process FREAKING OUT about the market - I'm a single mom, I am self employed across two companies, I had a tight timeline to vacate my rental, and I had limited availability to look at homes.

Stephen was calm, unperturbed, and confident. It took me a minute to get on his level, but his unwavering belief that he could get the job done with me finally helped me relax.

And he did get it done!

He worked fast and enabled me to find a house, write a competitive offer to beat out 3+ other offers, negotiate for every concession possible, ensure the required work was completed on time and properly, and close on time. (Thankfully he worked as fast as he did, because rising rates meant I couldn't have bought in my market a mere week later.)

Stephen's expertise goes beyond "Realtor." He has flipped houses and brings a structural and design knowledge that is helpful. He's a parent, so he understood when my four-year-old was tired of looking at houses. He is honest, direct, and patient with an extensive knowledge of construction and home improvement. He helped us find the perfect home and we feel confident in our purchase thanks to Stephen's expertise.

Despite it being a challenging market, we felt well equipped to take it on with Stephen's help - he made the whole process seamless.

"This was our first time using Stephen to represent us in the home buying process. Knowing what type of market we were getting into, we were prepared for the worst. From the moment we met with Stephen for our initial buyers consultation, we knew we were in good hands. He was professional and organized and clearly laid out the plan for how we would attack the home buying process, and how he would represent us. Stephen is extremely thorough in his communication and he kept us informed throughout the entire experience. My wife and I occasionally had different concerns about different issues along the way. He took the time to address those concerns that we both had and was able to make us both comfortable through the house hunting journey. One of the best assets that Stephen will provide when representing you as a buyer is his communication with the seller's agent. He knows what sellers are looking for when they choose an offer and will represent you and your offer in the best way possible to the seller. This is not something that should be overlooked as a buyer. In this extremely competitive market, you need someone that will aggressively represent you to a seller and be able to communicate clearly with the listing agent as to why your offer should be the one the seller chooses. He will also advise you as to how you can make your offer the most attractive to sellers. He worked nonstop to help through the process and was ready and available when questions arose. Stephen was available to view houses on short notice and answer questions at all hours. He has extensive knowledge of home remodel and repair as well. This helped when we had questions regarding what the costs of "fixes" may be when we were looking at homes. It helped tremendously to have someone with knowledge of whether a problem was something that could be a quick, cheap and easy fix, or if there was a problem that could be much deeper. Overall we are extremely happy with the entire experience that we had dealing with Stephen and his team, and will use him for all our real estate needs going forward. With his representation we were able to purchase a home, in our A1 target area, within in the 90 day timeline that we were hoping for, that checked all the boxes, at list price (even appraised for slightly higher than we bought it), AND he got them to pay closing costs saving us thousands of dollars!!! To get value from day 1 in a home purchase in Colorado is unheard of, and a lot of the credit goes to the knowledge and experience that Stephen brought to the table. Stephen was also able to negotiate several thousands of dollars in repairs that were discovered in the inspection as well. With the money we saved on closing costs, we were able to update the carpet and the paint in the house. He even helped us pick the colors! The homebuying experience can be tough, but with Stephen in your corner, you really are giving yourself a great opportunity to get the home that fits you and your needs."

I have never sold a house before but knew that the process could be daunting. My neighbor had said very good things about Stephen after he sold their house for them on short notice.
Stephen was super professional from our very first meeting. He was extremely knowledgeable in which improvements were worth doing, and which ones were not, in order to get a better listing price. While we did those improvements, he was checking in to make sure we did not need any help from his numerous construction contacts. He walked us through the home selling timeline so that we were able to go on the market when the time was best for us. The photography, online presence, and showings were flawless and carefree for us, as Stephen had that 100% taken care of. He gave us all the pros and cons to each offer we were given AND also went to bat for us when there were some negotiations over replacing an old furnace.
So while I was right, selling a house is a daunting process, Stephen made every step as painless and easy for us as he could. I would and have recommended Stephen to others and if I needed a realtor again he would be my first call.

No agents, no for sale sign, no showings… with such little experience with buying/selling real estate, I knew moving on from this family home was going to be painful. Stephen is REALLY good at his job. Really very good. There is no way I would ever use someone else. The process could not have been easier, thanks to Stephen. If we could describe Stephen in one word, that word would be the "BEST". We do believe Stephen is simply among best of the best Real Estate Agents in Denver Metro area. We are so grateful and lucky to have Stephen as our Buyer Agent.
We came to Stephen to buy a home in Metro Denver during a competitive housing market. Since we are from out of state and totally not familiar with the housing market in Metro Denver, that buying process was even more challenging to us. But Stephen made that challenge disappear and he made the whole process go so easy and seamlessly. Stephen was with us at every step of this process with great guidance and professional handling. He firstly met with us virtually through Zoom to understand our needs. Since we were not able to view the houses in person, Stephen thoroughly walked us through the house showings via Facetime and provided his professional and objective assessment about the condition of the house. He also drove around and showed us the neighborhoods and the surrounding areas, so we could have a feeling about that location which did help us a lot in making a good buying decision. Although Stephen provided his assessment and recommendation after each showing, he was never pushy.
Once we found the house we loved, Stephen timely helped us to put in an impressive offer that the sellers accepted that same evening. The important thing was, that after our offer was accepted, and when the inspection report came out and showed some major needed repairs, Stephen was able to negotiate the price down for us to cover those repair costs. We could never believe that we were able to find our dream house and close it exactly 16 days after the first virtual Zoom meeting with Stephen! All of that could not happen without Stephen's expertise as the best agent with in depth knowledge of the housing market, great experiences, high negotiation skill, responsiveness, and honesty.
The best part about Stephen was, that his job did not stop at the closing. Stephen went far beyond his role as a Real Estate Agent. Since he knew we are from another state, he was willing to help us to coordinate all the needed repairs and upgrades to make our new house the real dream house, ready for us to move in in a very tight timeframe. Stephen's help did save us a lot of hassle which we otherwise could not deal with ourselves. Stephen was really our eyes and ears through the entire buying process. We can’t thank Stephen enough for his kindness and willingness.

If you are buying or selling a house (or both), you have to hire Stephen!! After a bad experience with another realtor, we were lucky enough to find Stephen. He made the process of buying and selling very easy, even with our complicated circumstances and timing. On the buying side, Stephen was available for showings, always showing up on time and prepared, and because of his background in construction, was able to tell us all about the houses we walked in to. My husband had emergency surgery in the midst of all of the real estate transactions, but Stephen facilitated a seamless closing in the hospital per our request and kept the momentum rolling with our desired timeline in mind. After attempting a For Sale by Owner listing, we eventually decided we needed a proper MLS listing and the marketing exposure that a full service brokerage would provide. I have been buying and selling property for personal, business and investment purposes for the past 15 years, so have dealt with many agents both here in Colorado and in my native home of Tasmania, Australia. Stephen Berg is by far the best real estate professional I've encountered here in the States.

Don't be fooled by that baby face. It is rare to find someone so highly knowledgeable; honest, upfront and realistic in the assessment of value; or as responsive in any agent, young or old. On the odd occasion his cell was not answered immediately you can expect a call or text reply in lightning speed, and the man apparently never sleeps as I was getting replies to emails both before dawn and WAY after dusk as we competed against - and ultimately beat - over ten other offers over a 48 hour period from buyer offer to seller acceptance.

Having an agent who has a lot of personal experience with building and remodeling is also hugely beneficial. There were no false expectations regarding the amount of work or costs involved with making necessary improvements which would be a blessing for buyers who are making their first forays into the world of "fiver-uppers".

If my sister weren't my go-to-person in Australia, Stephen would be taking home the World Title in the little-known competition of "I Think You Are THE Rock Star Realtor", however, blood-ties mean he'll have to be satisfied with the Northern Hemisphere award while she's in the game!

Seriously, I have already recommended Stephen to a close friend who was equally as thrilled by his efforts (he helped her sell her old home and buy her new one when another agent had let her down badly), and for as long as he's happy to work with me, I won't be using any other agent for future deals in Denver.
