About Stephen

After 15 years of running high-volume full-service restaurants, Stephen started a sandwich shop called Uncle Sammy's 10 years ago on DePaul's campus in Lincoln Park. One week into the opening, his first daughter, Annie was born. Twelve months later, he & his family were sinking into a deep and historic recession. Stephen spent 15 hours a day making sandwiches and marketing door-to-door with menus and brownies in hand. He made it his business to talk with every business owner, resident, and student he could find. Year after year, Stephen saw the quiet gentrification of Lincoln Park and realized that the changes represented a real opportunity in real estate. Stephen bought in both downtown and Lincoln Park and while others suffered property value deflation, he found investments that held their value and eventually appreciated due to their intrinsic value and by keeping on top of all the development going on in the area. Today, after selling his business and surviving all the challenges over the last decade, Stephen believes he can give you counsel and guide your purchase or sale in ways that other agents can only see the market from an office window.
