About Steve

Steve was born & raised in Chewelah and grew up active in school sports, with a passion for hunting, fishing, and trapping. He attended and graduated from Eastern Washington University with a B.S. in Economics and Business. In 1974 he returned to Chewelah and joined his father, Gene, in the family insurance business. In 1974 he earned his real estate license and followed with his broker’s license in 1979. As the Broker of Windermere S & S Realty, Steve inspires the agents in his office to serve the people of Chewelah and the surrounding area with integrity and respect.
Steve has always been involved in the affairs of the Chewelah community. He has been an active member in Chewelah's Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. Over the years he has been a member of the Kawanis Club, the Chamber of Commerce, Cougar Boosters, J.C.s and the Eagles. For years he has been an assistant coach for the Chewelah school football program and AAU basketball teams.

Steve has a lifetime of connections with the people in this area, so his referral business is tremendous. His knowledge of this area and its history is comprehensive and he's eager to share it. Coupled with his knowledge and experience in the real estate business, Steve has an honest desire to serve the people of this community and prospective community members in an honest and informative manner.

Steve and his wife, Rhonda, have been married since 1980. Together they have two children. Steve is an avid golfer and enjoys skiing, coaching school sports, hunting and fishing.
