Before getting into real estate, Susan worked as a Computer Scientist for the Army as a DoD Civilian for 35 years. In this position, she handled the I.T. infrastructure for a military software organization. Customer service was the skill that she harnessed and strengthened the most throughout this experience, but being part of the military, even as a civilian, helped define her values of honesty, integrity, and selfless service. These are the traits that she readily brought over to her role as a realtor because she wanted her clients to know that they can trust that she is working for their goals and their goals only.
When she retired from the Army, she was a manager and her role involved advising her staff through a variety of situations, developing their talents, and helping them to grow in order to meet their own goals. All of these skills transferred over to real estate, and she knew that she had found her next career. Her favorite part of being a manager was the ability to connect with people from all different backgrounds. As a realtor, she gets to continue meeting new people and develop lasting relationships with them. It’s truly the best part of this career.
Outside of real estate, she enjoys many pastimes like gardening, traveling, and enjoying the arts. There is so much beauty around us in many different forms and she tries to find it everywhere she goes.
