About Susan
Susan’s family has roots in San Diego going all the way back to the mid 1800’s making her sons (3 boys) 5th generation and her grandchildren (5 boys) 6th generation San Diegans.
Sue’s business experience has two main aspects, accounting and real estate. Sue started in the accounting field in banking, and then went into government accounting where she was approved as the first women in the San Diego Navy arena to be approved to go on-board Navy ships as an auditor. From there she branched into public accounting and finally specialized in small business development accounting.
When serving as Controller for National Racquetball Corporation, Sue was asked by her employer to transition with him to a new venture in real estate. She became licensed in 1980 as a broker and has been the designated broker (managing broker) for several companies over the years. She also took an active part in the Realtor organization being elected to the Board of Directors of Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors for numerous terms holding many officer and chair positions. Eventually Sue served as their President in 2007and received the Realtor of the Year award in 2004.
Sue also served on the Board of Directors eventually attaining the position of President of: Business Boosters of East County, Alpha of San Diego, and North Park Kiwanis. She also served on the Board of Mental Health America for their merger with Alpha of San Diego until going on to a staff position in 2009.
Sue received her degree in Business Administration in 1989 after taking many classes of interest to her from Grossmont College, SDSU and UCSD over the years while working and raising her family.
