Susan Yahn

Susan grew up in Erie, PA and spent time at school in New England before graduating from Bowling Green State University. Her career began with Hammermill Paper Company in 1975, shortly thereafter opening an office in Hartford, CT and was there until 1980. When Susan met her husband, Peter, they moved to the Boston area and stayed there for 33 years raising three boys in Wayland, a western suburb of Boston, where she was actively involved in the elementary middle and high schools, Wayland Garden Club as well as the Wayland Beautification Committee. Along the way she worked for Rolm New England/IBM and moved to the real estate industry in the mid 1980’s. She was relocation director for two offices of her company ultimately ending up at Coldwell Banker, Weston, MA. Deciding enough was enough with tough New England winters, Susan and Peter opted to put their family home on the market in spring, 2013. It sold quickly despite a down market and this experience of getting one’s own home ready for the market as well as the selling and moving experience and the buying process in Bluffton has made her understand the frustrations and angst of a home seller and her personal experience has made her a better broker. She is thrilled to be part of Charter One Realty strategically working with a limited number of buyers and sellers at any one time to guarantee the best service to all parties. She is primarily based out of the Berkeley Hall office. Susan and Peter moved into their new home in the Low Country in Berkeley Hall in 2014. Now she has firsthand knowledge of the highs and lows of building a home as well! When she is not busy working with her clients, Susan loves to travel and enjoys golf, cooking, gardening, flower arranging and walking her dogs.
