Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for a Listing Agent and a Buyer’s Agent to have an adversarial relationship as they work for their clients, which can be the source of unnecessary drama and friction. Let’s start with the most obvious thing, Suzanne Fortune has one of the best names ever. Having a chance, every day, to talk to Miss Fortune was a highlight for me. On to more concrete matters, recently, my family was trying to decide what to do with the property just north of Northgate. It’s been in the family for more than 40 years and is currently vacant land. Miss Fortune helped us figure out the correct paths forward and ultimately my family decided not to do anything with the property. My fiance and I were referred to Suzanne by some good friends of ours when looking to purchase our first home. From the start Suzanne took a very personal approach to our home search. I was very impressed on our first set of home tours when she setup a busy day of visiting 7 different properties all meticulously scheduled to fit within just a few hours on a weekend. It was a very efficient use of our time and really helped us figure out what we wanted and where.

Our dream home ended up being a new construction home that wasn't close to done yet. Our first tour was Suzanne taking us around the home when it was just at it's studs. We were definitely uneasy purchasing something we couldn't see complete but Suzanne was able to make us feel comfortable and help us envision the space. She worked closely with the builder's agent and got us all the details we needed to feel comfortable to proceed. Throughout the purchasing process Suzanne's team (Angelica, Beth, and more) was very responsive to any edits I requested in documents and any questions I had. Everyone was very responsive, especially Suzanne. We work 9-5 jobs and Suzanne would work around this easily by taking calls and tours with us on the weekend or after work.

This was the biggest purchase of our lives but Suzanne and team made the process smooth and comfortable for us. We absolutely love our new home and will forever be grateful to them.

What a fabulous home purchasing experience! Suzanne and her team are not simply experts in real estate but more experts in finding the right home and guiding people through the crazy market to win the home they want within their budget. We were lucky to meet Suzanne at an open house of a property she was listing. Out of all the agents we were meeting, Suzanne stood out as someone who was smart, trustworthy, and experienced. When it came time to get more serious about buying our first home, we called up Suzanne and from that moment she worked tirelessly and patiently to help us find a home. Throughout the home-buying process, it felt as if we were her only client. She made herself available to us and almost always answered our calls and texts immediately. She was very transparent when other commitments came up and let us know if she was going to be out of touch for any length of time. Not only is she a great communicator with clients, but she also at the top of her game with agents, inspectors, escrow officers, loan officers, etc.

One of the things that attracted us to Suzanne is that she is very knowledgable about home construction and remodeling. She has numerous friends and contacts in the industry. When we had a question about adding a second story to a home we were considering making an offer on, Suzanne got an architect on the phone immediately and got our questions answered.

We soon learned that shopping for your first home in a competitive seller's market can be daunting. Suzanne explained several strategies to use for making an offer in such a climate. When we got beat by higher bids on our first two offers, each time Suzanne kept up our morale with her sense of humor and by scouting out homes for us the very next day. Suzanne is a fighter who wants to make sure her clients get what they want. The third house we made an offer on was another "hot home" with multiple offers. To our surprise and delight, we ended up coming out on top and couldn't be happier with the home we purchased.

On top of her real estate powers, Suzanne is great with kids. Our 1-year-old boy loved his "grandma time" with Suzanne while mom and dad were off touring in the other room. Suzanne is a blast to work with. Thank you Suzanne!

I am very pleased working with Suzanne to purchase my first house. It started casually by just looking at lots of houses (which she playfully calls "house safari") to cover a wide range of features/styles and problems to avoid. I was only half seriously looking at this point but I knew I wanted a house eventually.

Once I became more comfortable with the process there were a few houses that really stood out. When it came to down working out a deal I just didn't feel 100% about any of them so I backed out. Suzanne was patient and told me when the right house comes along I will know it. I was starting to feel like it wasn't going to happen.

Eventually a charming house in Greenwood showed up and I instantly loved it. Suzanne worked with the listing agent to gauge existing interest in the house and came up with a plan to give me the most solid offer I could make within my position and still feel like it matched the market value of the house. Fortunately my bid won!

After that I was still pretty nervous during the whole closing process but she helped me through it. In the end, I'm now in my house and in a much nicer neighborhood than I was actually shooting for. I still can't believe I'm living here.

If you value someone incredibly dedicated, knowledgeable and not pushy, you can't go wrong with Suzanne Fortune :)

I was selling my house in Lake Stevens house I had owned for 20 years. I live on the East side of Washington so most dealings were texts and phone calls.
