Terry is a lifelong resident of Walton County, Florida and lives in Freeport with his wife

Melissa and their daughter Emma, who is in Graduate school at FSU. He is a Broker/Owner of Merrifield & Pilcher Realty in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Terry was elected to the Chelco Board of Trustees and has served in various leadership roles. He currently serves as President for the Florida Rural Electric Cooperative in Tallahassee. Mr. Pilcher is a member of the Northwest Florida All Sports Association where he is Past President. Mr. Pilcher was elected to represent Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina for the Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange Board of Directors. He is a member of the Florida Realtors Board of Directors and was the 2017 President of the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors and voted the 2015 Realtor of the Year. He currently is the Honorary Commander of the 7th Special Forces Group at Duke Field. In the past he has served on the Okaloosa-Walton Early learning Coalition Board, the United Nations Cooperative Youth Council and numerous local charities.

Terry graduated from Troy University with an undergraduate degree in Political Science/Business and master’s degree in Administration and Education. He completed his Leadership and Administration Program with the University of West Florida. After College he worked for Troy University before teaching and coaching at Walton High School. He and his partners opened their Real Estate firm in 2004
