Thomas Downing

Thomas Downing is Vice President of Brokerage Services and Designated Managing Broker for @properties’ Winnetka office, the top-producing real estate office on Chicago’s North Shore. With over 180 licensed brokers generating more than $1 billion in annual closed sales, Tom leads with a focus on agent development and business growth.

Tom began his real estate career in 2013 after years in business management consulting, where he advised Fortune 500 companies like AT&T, Disney, and Pan Am on profitability and performance. Joining @properties in 2015, he quickly built a successful team and earned recognition as “Rookie of the Year” by Chicago Agent Magazine and a “Road to Rolex” elite producer in 2016. He’s also been featured in Chicago Agent Magazine’s “Who’s Who” and on the cover of Real Producers Magazine.

In 2020, Tom transitioned to management, bringing his experience as a top-producing broker and consultant to help agents reach their personal and professional goals. A North Shore native, Tom is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI), and currently serves on the Board of the North Shore-Barrington Association of REALTORS®?. Outside of work, he’s an avid triathlete and world traveler who enjoys exploring Chicagoland’s vibrant restaurant scene.
