Born and raised in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, Thomas Raiguel knows the wonderful characteristics and charm of this neighborhood along with what Los Feliz, Echo Park, Atwater Village, and the rest this city has to offer. He attended Ivanhoe Elementary and Thomas Starr King here in Silver Lake, Campbell Hall in the Studio City, and received his BFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Westchester. Having lived and explored from one side of this great city to the other, Thomas is well-versed in Los Angeles and is eager to be your advocate to find exactly what you’re looking for.
Thomas’ background is in design; focusing on branding, systems, product, and furniture design. He owned and operated, Slipd Design, a small home goods company that focused on producing locally inspired products made from up-cycled materials. Based out of Silver Lake, its goal was to produce goods that are symbolic of the region in which it was made. Through his college and professional career, every out of city, even out of country opportunity, from studying at RISD to working in Stockholm, has not matched the quality of work and experience Thomas found across Los Angeles.
Regardless of where his experiences and travels have taken him, Thomas always finds himself wanting to be back to this fantastic area of this beautiful city. Los Angeles is inspirational because of the great energy that the city fosters; there are very few places anywhere else with more creative individuals across industries and backgrounds. There are not very many cities in the world where you can eat Mexican food for breakfast, Armenian for lunch, and Japanese for dinner in a single day, all while traveling from the beach to mile-high mountains.
In starting his work in real estate, Thomas has found this work to be the natural accumulation of his work and passion. From his first job mixing house paint and painting at Jill’s Paint in Atwater Village, to studying furniture and interiors in college, to his custom furniture work, to teaching his annual art class; all have led to his desire to work in real estate and find the best results for his clients. This being said, Thomas is looking forward to providing you with a tailored real estate experience.
When he’s not scouting properties for clients, you can find Thomas running the Silver Lake reservoir, restoring furniture in his studio, paddle boarding in the marina, or eating his way across this wonderful city. You can most likely spot him Tuesdays, with his energetic puppy, Cody, at the Sunset Junction Farmer's Market buying more than his stomach can handle. Thomas hopes to see you around the neighborhood, and to earn the chance to find you the house of your dreams.
