About Tom

After graduating with a BSBA in Business from Creighton in 1993, Tom began his career as a young entrepreneur trying his hand at the bar and restaurant business. Tom was fortunate to have some early success and the proceeds from the sale of the Blue Jay Bar and Grill propelled Tom’s restaurant career and real estate investment business. Over the course of the last 20 years Tom has embarked upon many entrepreneurial opportunities. With emphasis on restaurant development/operations and real estate brokerage and development business, Tom has a great passion for both businesses. In the past 10 years Tom has developed several real estate projects primarily in historic buildings in the Omaha area. In addition, Tom has developed a portfolio of single-family home rentals which emerged from his experience in graduate school at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Upon receipt of his MBA Tom pursued the residential real estate rental business. It later provided a great foundation for the real estate brokerage business. Upon growing the residential real estate business from an investor perspective, a great opportunity emerged for Tom to begin the representation of both buyers and sellers in a residential brokerage capacity. As this process evolved, Gold Coast Real Estate Group was created. The business has grown at a significant pace during each of the past 3 years. Tom and his team are currently representing buyers and sellers across the metro Omaha area and continue to employ creative tactics to better represent our client's needs. They do not claim to be the biggest brokerage in Omaha but based on their results, Tom like to think they are the best value in town!
