I’ve been working with Tony Testa for 13 years and with Emily Stein for 6 years with properties in Manhattan - midtown, UWS and Brooklyn - Bushwick - both for rental and buy/sell options.
They are extremely knowledgeable and showed us many properties in neighborhoods all over the city before we narrowed our searches. They worked hard and helped us zero in on only those that met our criteria, and they quickly got us suitable tenants once we completed our deals. They did all of the screening for tenants and made the process as easy as it could be. They had a thorough understanding of related real estate matters, guiding us through complicated closing issues, coop board requirements and suggesting related professional contacts. We’ve referred other friends and family members to the Testa-Stein team to assist with their NYC real estate ventures that were ultimately on the East Side of Manhattan and East Village, and all were similarly very satisfied with the services provided by this team. Having worked with many other real estate agents over the years, they set a standard that is above and beyond most. Can’t say enough great things about Tony Testa and Emily Stein.

Emily and Tony (The Stein-Testa Team) are such a wonderful team! I had worked with two other agents before the pandemic trying to sell my condo in NYC, and neither worked out. Emily and Tony helped me sell my condo during the pandemic, which is a feat in and of itself, and they also got me the best price out of all the agents I worked with!

What sets Tony and Emily apart is their transparency, frankness, and kindness. They helped me set realistic expectations and provided valuable insights to make an educated decision. My wife and I have worked with Tony Testa and Emily Stein for over 17 years and couldn't be happier. We've used them in Manhattan (Battery Park) and Brooklyn (Bed Stuy) for buying Condos as well as finding us tenants and letting Condos out. They have always been very knowledgable about all of the processes and steps involved, how best to deal with condo boards and helping vet tenants for us. For me, the Stein-Testa Team of Tony Testa and Emily Stein have been both buyers and sellers agents for me in Manhattan. They were my agents for selling two residences in Flatiron and as my buyer agent for a purchase in Nomad.
These transactions totaled over $10M, but more importantly, every transaction was smooth, lacked drama, and worked well for all parties involved.
I found them years ago through a normal apartment showing where they were the seller's agent. There was something about them that just made sense to me, while they were both making cents and saving me cents.
I highly recommend them and if I ever sell anything I own in New York City, I will use them.

I can’t say enough good things about working with Tony on our apt search in nyc. After looking at several, and having a somewhat general area of where we wanted to be, we hit the nail on the jackpot. Tony was very professional, but we also felt so comfortable around him it was like being with a good friend. He was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect, ie. the market, the area, price, etc. he also does a weekly “data crunch” on instagram which I still watch, just to be in the know. Being we were buying in a co-op, there was a lot of things to be taken care of, he had everything in order, was very reassuring and made the process run very smooth.
