About Wade
Wade’s life’s passions are centered around the home. He loves, loves, loves to cook, host, and create a welcoming environment. Growing up in the south, Wade learned the art of hospitality from his parents, and it is a central part of his life today. His interest in all things related to home fits perfectly with his career as a real estate advisor as he finds great joy in helping others to realize their dreams.
His fascination with architecture and design started at a young age. His family moved several times, and he was enamored with the adventure of discovering new places. What a home can be physically was intriguing and he often sketched out floorplans and planned what goes where, but he was also curious about the lifestyle you can create for yourself and others. Years later, he finds great joy in helping serve his clients visualize opportunities in properties they may not have realized at first glance.
Although he is in awe of the city’s diverse architectural heritage, he is particularly fond of the classic details found in pre-War buildings. He recently renovated their vintage condo in East Lakeview, a neighborhood where he specializes.
Before going into residential sales, Wade managed a large sales and marketing support team at American Airlines. This experience taught him the value of a calm demeanor, a skill that has proven critical as he works with his clients to navigate the often complex and emotional process of buying or selling their homes. With each client, his objective is to dig in, understand their desires, and exceed their expectations. While market knowledge and analytical skills are of value, being kind and fostering an environment of trust make the ultimate difference.
After nearly 20 years in award-winning residential sales, he is pleased to join Engel & Völkers Chicago. The company’s core values of passion and excellence, boutique culture, elegant marketing, and collaborative global network, will empower him to better serve his clients, locally and around the world.
Wade is grateful for the many blessings he enjoys and wants to help those who are less fortunate. A portion of his income goes to support the Center on Halsted’s homeless youth program, as well as Howard Brown Health Center, and to Chicago area food banks.
In his free time, Wade and his husband love to entertain at home, explore Chicago’s vibrant restaurant scene, travel, and spend time with their dog, Minnie Mae.
