GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I believe that Abingdon High School is only a mediocre school with the potential to achieve more for their students. I wish our clubs were bigger and taken more seriously, I wish some of the teachers were reconsidered as hires, and I wish that the school were nicer looking and appealing on the inside.

Abingdon High is an amazing school is you want the traditional school experience. There is nothing above and beyond for the students or faculty, and the teaching and teachers are decent. As a graduating senior, this school allowed me to get an education without all the added activities and extracurriculars most schools push so strongly.

Abingdon High School isn't that bad of a school. For where I live, it's honestly one of the better schools to go to. The only problem I have with Abingdon is the scheduling. Our classes take place at weird times which don't fit with most dual enrollment and AP classes.
