The best experience I had at the school was my first semester senior year, because in the school I was getting so much hep with my college apps and the school was just helping me get ready for college. The bad experience was the food was always over/under cooked, no school culture, and the sports department being really broke was annoying.

Albany High School is a great academic school, with plenty of resources. However, athletics are not great for smaller sports.

I wish I can say that I have had a many good experiences at Albany High, although in reality there is very little good things I experienced at that school. The best one of all of them was being apart of my English 3 honors class, my teacher Mr.Nielson brightened my mind with the magic of writing; that was my best expirence overall. The lack of diversity at school is dilemma that is unresolved. As much as the school may try to be inclusive it's not enough, it's hard to join clubs and activities while feeling culturally out of place.

We have a sophomore currently and I am so happy with AHS relative to what I hear from friends at the closest two public high schools. It feels very chill during the day (not like a minimum security prison), most teachers do reach out and let you know what's going on in class (and you can get Aeries/...

I brought my son to this school from Michigan in the 5th grade - from a top rated school in MI. I chose AUSD based on ratings. My son is graduating this year and I have to say after all is said and done this was a horrendous school experience. If this is what a “good” public school is suppose to loo...

Albany High School is a mixed bag. I love that AHS is part of a tight-knit community where most families know one another and value student success. With so many high achieving students, academic opportunities, such as AP classes and special programs, are limited and there is fierce competition. Mid...
