GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Albert Lea Senior High School education and sports teams are both subpar. Staff is constantly moving from the town due to lack of opportunities and just how small the town is. All the staff is quite friendly, however, getting the counseling office to respond is a nightmare especially with the distance learning academy.

Not the best high school or school district period. I just didn't have the best of experience that I have should of had sadly.

I really enjoyed attending ALHS. The teachers are helpful and caring. They never fail to make students feel welcome and at home in school. They are willing to stay after school to help students and are quick to reply to emails. The administration is also very good. Though there are some flaws, it is an overall good school.

This school was so bad; I had to transfer. When I went to my new school, I found out many parents think the same thing and open enrolled their kids, either right away or after having their kids go to ALHS. So two stars, bad, do not recommend. There are better schools nearby.

It is a nice building, with some great teachers and a rather friendly environment.
