Alcott College Prep Elementary School is a public school that serves more than 600 students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
Curriculum at Alcott Elementary focuses on intellectual, social, emotional and character development of students. Pupils are encouraged to explore, take risks, make mistakes and learn from those experiences. Students consistently perform better on standardized tests for mathematics and reading when compared to their peers.

In addition to traditional classroom courses, the school offers art, theater, music and physical education classes. Student extracurricular activities offered include choir, band, student council, a reading club and the yearbook club. A recent survey of students and teachers recognized the school as having a very supportive environment. Students who participated in the survey overwhelmingly said they felt attending school daily was important, and that they try hard to get good grades. Most of the students surveyed said that the homework assigned to them is important.

Alcott prepared me for high school very well. The community was awesome and so were the teachers. Including the superb security guard Mr. Lozada. Mr. Lozada made everyone at Alcott feel loved and included. This breathtaking man personally insured my safety and he protected the school with his life. Mr. Lozada is also great with kids. In conclusion Alcott would be nothing with out the phenomenal, spectacular, remarkable, and very smart security guard, Mr. Lozada.
