It is very easy to establish/start your own clubs if you have a specific interest that is already not an spect of an existing club. I would like to see better computer facilities and engineering labs.

As the parent of a Bishop Ireton '24 graduate and future '26 graduate, I have been nothing but pleased with the school's leadership (which is quite responsive to parents), teachers, and extracurriculars. I live in Arlington and attended a Jesuit high school, so I considered Bishop O'Connell and Gonzaga, but chose B.I. because it was smaller than O'Connell, had more of a family atmosphere, and was more academically focused. I chose B.I. over Gonzaga, because I have a son and daughter and wanted them to have a shared high school experience. Although I did not appreciate it when applying, the ability for students to walk next door to the shopping center with Starbucks, Panera, Noodles & Co, Jersey Mikes, Giant, etc. cannot be understated, as it allows students to walk together after school to get a bite to eat and start homework, vice being in the center of D.C. or having to get in a car to drive somewhere. B.I. actively lives its motto "Advanced Always" in a Christ-centered way.

Overall, Bishop Ireton High School serves its main purpose to prepare students for college. The academics are challenging but very rewarding, the majority of the teachers really care about the students and help them succeed, the facilities are great as well as the theater arts department.

Both of my children graduated from Bishop Ireton a few years ago and I couldn’t be happier. The teachers at BI challenged my children and both rose to the occasion and both played sports. With the guidance of their college counselor, both children went on to excellent universities where they are ver...

School is run very poorly, their "teachers" often talk about how they hate their jobs and how they have no desire to work there.
