There was a ton of bullying problems that administration refused to acknowledge, even after being asked to multiple times. They force the kids to do useless activities that can cause mental breakdowns and panic attacks. The school is not well equipped for neurodivergent and/or queer students.

I love the community and family at Algona High. I enjoy the teachers, the students, and the overall atmosphere at this high school. The only thing I can think of improving is having better options to appeal to different learners; for example, learning more note-based as opposed to group-based projects. In the end, I would highly recommend Algona High for any aspiring student.

It's an ok school that I feel needs to change. I feel it's to strict and doesn't really understand high school students.
