Allen Park High School is a public school welcoming all students in ninth through twelfth grades throughout the city of Allen Park. The school first opened its doors in 1950 and currently has an enrollment of just under 1,200 students. Home of the Jaguars, Allen Park High School is full of spirit as the school’s competitive cheer team secured its third consecutive division two state championship in 2022. The spacious high school is located just south of the downtown area, on the edge of popular Champaign Park. Students at Allen Park High School are well placed for future success, as the school boasts a four-year graduation rate of 95% —higher than the state median—and consistently displays higher-than-average proficiency scores in both mathematics and reading. Additionally, an estimated 44% of students participate in AP coursework. Outside of the classroom, students have access to a variety of special interest groups including the environmentally focused Green Team, National Honors Society, drama club, Interact, world languages club, a literary journal and a monthly newspaper known as the Jag Journal. I made a Jr Hockey Team played for 2 months, the high school administration had to move quick to get me enrolled and set up classes . They worked with me and made it happen .

Overall, I absolutely loved my time at Allen Park High School. My dad also went there so it was great to be able to connect with some of the people he grew up with who were now my teachers. I am still in touch with my teachers and I feel as though I can reach out to them if I ever needed anything.

Overall Allen Park High school provides a good education, especially when compared to the other public schools in the area. The diversity is however is very low.

As a student at Allen Park High School, I would have to say its a great place to attend. I'm going into my third year at this school and absolutely love it. Of course there are the couple of teachers known for not going above and beyond the call to help their students, but most of the teachers care...
