Spring Lake Elementary School is a public school in the Altamonte Springs neighborhood of Orange County, Florida. The school teaches a dual language program for grades K-5 and has a student population of 720. As a Title I school, the curriculum and programs are designed to support reform and innovations to improve educational opportunities for low-income students.
The focus is on merging technology into the school to prepare students for continuing education and the workforce. Computers, iPads, laptops and Epson projectors are all used in daily classroom lessons. Spring Lake Elementary has been awarded the "Five-Star School" title for the last eight years by the Commissioner's Community Involvement Council. It also received the "Golden Award" for being a Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Model School, given annually by the Florida Department of Education to recognize public schools with exemplary volunteer programs in the form of mentorship, tutoring and advocacy. Clubs and extracurricular activities include a daily student-produced morning news program, student council, chorus, robotics club, and a competitive math team. After-school care "Kids Zone" is offered weekly from 2:30-6:00 pm, allowing for even more enrichment opportunities.

Very poor experience for my child. We ended up moving my child to another school in the county. I would not recommend this school for anyone new to Seminole County.
