The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It is a very good school. The teachers work with students to help them when they are struggling. The education is also very good. It has some good sports teams as well as lots of commitment to after school clubs

I think it's really easy for kids to find things to complain about, but I've learned that you get out of school exactly what you put into it. Wissahickon HS has some pretty amazing teachers that have dedicated themselves to educating kids. We have all had a rough few years with covid and shootings and what seems like more stress than normal times, but at Wiss there is a real effort for the staff at all levels to be there for everyone. Not everyone is open to receiving what is there for them taking, but they should be. 10 stars for the guidance counselors... and 100 if you're lucky enough to get Mrs White for Chem.
