My experience with Hillcrest high school has been good. I have had a few teachers that I really liked but I had a lot that I really didn't like or that didn't teach well. The counselors aren't super helpful and a lot of times they act grouchy and mean to do their jobs. The culture, sports, and student involvement is very good at Hillcrest. They offer a good amount of dual credit classes which is great but I wish they had a few more elective options.

The only real complaint I have is that I would like more information on college, scholarships, graduation requirements, etc.

Hillcrest is a great school. I transferred to a different high school for sophomore year, but realized how much better Hillcrest was so I transferred back. The teachers and students create a great environment and I have enjoyed my time there and I am sad to leave.

I don't know about the past, but we have been involved with our kids here the past 5 years. The American education system is struggling to be sure and some of those issues of apathy and attendance are issues at Hillcrest, but the principals, teachers, and support staff are better than you will find...
