Cerritos Elementary School is a public elementary school located two-and-a-half blocks west of S. Beach Blvd on Cerritos Avenue in the heart of West Anaheim. The school serves close to 500 students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Cerritos Elementary is part of the Savanna Elementary School District and test scores at the school are about the same as the state average in both English and math. The student-to-teacher ratio at Cerritos Elementary is approximately 22-to-1.
In addition to its core curriculum, the school offers a Saturday Academy as a means for helping students make up for absences or receive additional exposure to engaging lessons. Cerritos Elementary School also has district-sponsored before and after school programs for students. Known as WINGS, the program is designed to inspire passion and creativity in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) as well as the visual and performing arts and a wide variety of sports. Cerritos also provides access to the Stanton Boys and Girls Club and has a partnership with Catalyst Kids for additional before-and-after-school programs.
