James Madison Elementary School is located on Cerritos Avenue, just south of Modjeska Park. The school serves approximately 600 students from pre-kindergarten through the sixth grade and is one of the 24 schools that make up the Anaheim Elementary School District. Madison Elementary School provides students with a progressive, well-rounded curriculum that incorporates science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM). The school makes good use of modern technology and every student at the school receives music and computer coding instruction. Madison Elementary also focuses on ensuring students’ social and emotional well being as well. There are also a number of district-sponsored programs at Madison Elementary, including a unique Dual Language Immersion program in Spanish and English. Beginning in kindergarten, students are taught using a model that will enable them to think, read, write and communicate naturally in both Spanish and English. Classes are mixed with students who are both native English and native Spanish speakers. The school also offers a Gifted and Talented Education Program (GATE) that is designed to meet the academic needs of exceptionally promising students in grades three through six. Madison Elementary also has a Parent and Family Engagement Policy that helps to facilitate and ensure that parents and caregivers play an active role in their student’s education. The school also offers an award-winning, YMCA-sponsored after school program, known as Anaheim Achieves, that provides a variety of fun and engaging activities that help to reinforce the curriculum being taught to students during the school day.

I loved going to school cause we had a lot of fun there it was a very memorable experience there I remember when we would do olympics if u won then they would give out medals or award I remember when I won I was so happy cause I got an award and a medal but I really had lots of fun
