Located on the Gilbert High School campus on West Ball Road, Polaris High School is a public middle and high school that serves students in seventh through 12th grade. Polaris' alternative, independent study program is offered to students who qualify and are looking for a more flexible learning environment, enabling them to engage in activities outside of school. The school requires that each student spend a minimum of one day per week on campus, working closely with a teacher who provides instruction and carefully assesses their progress. There are also opportunities for students to engage in field trips and other enrichment programs. Like other schools in the district, Polaris High School also offers students dual enrollment programs in partnership with nearby Cypress College and Fullerton College. These programs give students at Polaris the opportunity to earn college credits while still attending high school.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Ever since I transferred to independent studies, my grades have changed drastically. I went from a C average to maintaining A's and B's. The work load is bearable, and the teachers are really understanding, patient, and helpful.

Polaris is probably one of the best high school that I have attended. Students here work at there own pace, there is no need to rush. The teachings are pretty straight forward, there's no BS between the homework they give, they teach you what you need to learn, and that's it. Polaris high school tea...
