This public school, located adjacent to a park with the same name, sits at the corner of S. Walnut and Santa Ana Streets, just west of the I-5 freeway. Betsy Ross Elementary School serves approximately 950 students from kindergarten through sixth grade. and is one of the 24 institutions that make up the Anaheim Elementary School District.
Beyond its curriculum in reading, math, science and social studies, Ross Elementary School ensures that students’ social and emotional well being is being cared for as well. The school also offers a number of district-sponsored programs, including a unique Dual Language Immersion program. Beginning in kindergarten, students are taught using a model that will enable them to think, read, write and communicate naturally in both English and Spanish. Classes are mixed with students who are both native English and native Spanish speakers.
Ross Elementary also offers a Gifted and Talented Education Program (GATE) that is designed to meet the academic needs of exceptionally promising students in grades three through six and has a Parent and Family Engagement Policy that helps to ensure that parents and caregivers play an active role in their student’s education.
Ross Elementary also offers an award-winning, YMCA-run after school program, known as Anaheim Achieves, that provides a variety of fun and engaging activities that help to reinforce the curriculum being taught to students during the school day.

This was a pretty great school overall. Don't let the test scores get in your opinion about this school. Betsy Ross school is a primarily a teachnology school. The teachers here are super supportive in what the students are doing. I would recommend this school.

Very kind principal! I felt very welcomed to this school and was please to enroll my child. I will see how the year goes. If the first meeting is a sign this will be an excellent year.
