As someone who was in color guard, band, and choir, I would like to see the school put more money towards those artistic areas and not just sports. The teachers were amazing, but I would love to see them paid better and given more supplies.

Overall AHS has been very welcoming to me and I've had a fairly good high school career. It's easy to find a group you fit in and it really feels like the teachers want you to succeed.

This school is far more welcoming and friendly than their sister school; Ankeny Centennial. This is overall what I have experienced throughout all the schools on the South side though.

I am the parent of a former special education student as well as a former food service worker at this school. Sammi was treated with respect and overall concern when she struggled. Her whole teaching staff came together when things got tough and helped her succeed. Thank you!

Plenty of programs for everyone, facilities are good, and certain departments (bio, spanish, chemistry, physics) have excellent teachers. How...
