The Ann Arbor Public School District's Slauson Middle School is one of six junior high schools in the district. Situated within the city's Eberwhite neighborhood, Slauson can be an easy walk or bike ride for many of the students who live close by.
The school has been the site of recent building improvements thanks to a district bond issue. Slauson’s security infrastructure has been upgraded along with ongoing A/C and lighting improvements. Even the Slauson School theater has received funding for rigging improvements.
Slauson has a very active parent-teacher-student organization which helps with education and plans fun things to do. The school hosts a series of special events that range from concerts to school pride gatherings.
Slauson Middle School offers sports and athletic clubs for the students and includes everything from competitive swimming to tennis, track, softball and baseball. Student athletic clubs are also offered for running and fitness.

Most of the teachers are very kind and good people, especially, Mrs. Greene, Mr. Sternfels, Mrs. Margolis, Mrs. Darnton, Mr. Treze, and of course the best of them all Mr. Hooker who isn't a teacher. We are having a great experience with the teachers at Slauson. They have been really kind, encouraging and enthusiastic. They have made this a wonderful experience for my student. Despite being virtual my student is still staying connected and learning! The teachers really care about their students...
