The students and new principal are great but the deans, a couple of teachers, and office staff are not that great. They tend to be very rude and like abusing their power. Had a teacher refused to give a student who was supposed to receive extended time any extra time for their assignments or tests and proceeded to fail them with most of the students in each class that the teacher had.

I did not have a great experience with Wekiva High School. It is a Title 1 school, and it seemed like the teachers, admin, facilities, and resources available reflected that. I think it limited me in school, like for example having no calculators in my math class which is a must. Another instance is when I'm put through an AP college-level course yet 5 months into the school year I still only have a substitute teacher. It is hard to learn this way, and as someone who is striving for academic success, I wish I had better opportunities here.

For the most part the school get really involved with social events, but unfortunately there were a few times the safety of the students was in fact tested.

Teachers are so unprofessional, they cuss at the students and kick them out sometimes for no reason. They have to follow silly rules, the teachers in general are just so terrible. There are alot of fights and too many disrespectful students.
