Valley New School is a great school for people who are able to manage their time well and are self-motivated. Additionally, Valley New School is great for people who have a hard time in the regular classroom and like to go at their own pace to complete tasks and work on projects that are interesting to them.

Valley New School only has a few permanent clubs, but is very open to any student that want to start one. Film clubs, musical groups, reading groups, live action role playing, and naturalist groups are the most common.

Valley New School is definitely the safest school in the city. Students are required to swipe in before entering or leaving, as are visitors. The school does not have a formal sex-ed or drug prevention program, but nether is an issue among students.
