There are some amazing teachers at Arcata High, especially for the AP classes. However the school doesn't have many resources for students (the Career and College Center got shut down and hasn't reopened yet) and the counselors push the students towards community college over other options.

I liked most of the staff and the way that the teachers are able to connect with the students. I think our cultural and diversity studies programs need to be improved.

AP teachers are good. The school environment is slightly hard to break into as a new student. Playing sports is fun. Getting involved in clubs is crucial to a good experience at AHS.
