When I went to Pomona high school I overall had some great experiences. I got to make new friends, learn some different life skills. And jump into the schools culture and praise. It was so fun getting to try new activities and sports. Such as track and field or cross country. In fact I found my love for art in some painting classes. Except I didn't get my whole high school experience of four years due to Covid. I felt like Covid did take away a year of high school from me. Though it made things hard I still tried to make the best of it. I still worked hard and gave what I could with the resources I had.

I moved to Pomona High School my sophomore year from Arvada thinking the transition would be really hard but all the teachers and staff welcomed me with open arms and gave me endless resources to use to make my experience the best it could be. I couldn't be more thankful for the teachers here.

The best year for me was junior year. The schedule was perfect. The worst part was the way they switched the schedule it makes schools less enjoyable. Its just a regular school.

Pomona High School’s administration is failing students and families on every level. Leadership is disorganized, unresponsive, and far more focused on protecting appearances than on supporting student success or well-being. This is an unfit and unsafe environment for middle and high school students....

The current principal lacks experience in the most basic nuances of modern high school education. His middle school background is evident, as he's prone to gossip, pedantry, and forcing the staff to play along with embarrassing "shout outs" during staff meetings to his favorite (compliant) cohorts....

Smaller high school (great for kids who might feel overwhelmed in larger schools) with caring staff. Teachers and administration are very responsive to parents and engage with their students.

If your child has no learning issues, this school might be a good fit. If you have a child who has learning issues and is on an IEP, they will not receive an adequate education. The special education teachers who are new are constantly replaced by teachers who are new to teaching. The integrated the...
