The school has very good extracurricular programs and good academic programs. One issue with the school is the overall competitiveness, and I have had many issues with teachers.

Independence is a top school in Northern Virginia and in the country. The academics, athletics and fine arts programs are consistently top notch and offer all kinds of students opportunities.

Independence High School is great and is very well-kept. The teachers are great and there are a huge variety of classes offered. I was never involved with administrations stuff such as student council but being apart of the wrestling team all four years helped build my character. The coaches I had were truly amazing and I doubt I would've kept wrestling if it wasn't at Indy. While there are always things to improve on (lunch), the school is amazing and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
