Since 2009, KIPP STRIVE Academy has offered a Knowledge is Power Program charter-school education opportunity to families living in the historic Westview area of Atlanta. With approximately 400 students and 30 teachers, the Academy houses fifth through eighth grades. KIPP STRIVE Primary, serving kindergarten through fourth grade, is located on the same campus. STRIVE stands for Success Through Rigorous Instruction, Virtue and Enrichment, which is a vision shared by students and staff alike. The school believes building character is as important as academics. While the school is committed to excellence in instruction and learning, there is also an emphasis on respect, citizenship and hard work. As a public charter school, STRIVE Academy is tuition-free and offers open enrollment for students within its focus areas. Extracurricular activities span from sports, including band and dance, to academics, including a writing program to quiz bowl, as well as a youth entrepreneurship club in conjunction with Morehouse College.

Our first year was 2020 so it was a big adjustment with going virtual. The Principal, Mr. Bray, was sure to be in high communication with the parent emails and Zoom meetings. I appreciated that. Also, the Educators are awesome. You can tell they like their jobs and want to teach. They understood it...

Most of the students don't live in the district. They show favoritism, you have to know someone in order fir your child to get accepted in to the school. They have students there who reside in Cobb County and uses fake addresses. They need to be investigated
