North Springs Charter High School provides exceptional public school education to students in Sandy Springs. One of the oldest schools in the Fulton County School System, North Springs has been open since 1963. This comprehensive high school is the only high school in the state that offers two magnet programs: math/sciences and visual/performing arts. This cutting-edge school was the first conversion charter high school in the Fulton County School System. North Springs has made a name for itself, earning several impressive accolades from significant media outlets, including Outstanding High School by U.S. News & World Report and one of “America’s Most Challenging High Schools” by The Washington Post. North Springs is also an AP Honor School because of the high number of students who took Advanced Placement exams and their passing scores. Beyond the classroom, North Springs offers a wide range of clubs and events. In addition, the North Springs Spartans compete in many sports throughout the school year. I have attended NSHS all four years of high school, and it has been a wonderful experience. The administration is welcoming but also sets a high standard for student success. I have had a great experience in the music department and the dance department, and the theater department is wonderful. Overall, the arts department is lovely and the experience leaves me very happy. I would 100% recommend North Springs to anyone who wants to apply for the magnet program.

I was a student at north springs high school for all for years of high school. the teachers and staff there were very personable and understanding. I graduated in 2022 with a 3.8 gpa and I was involved in HOSA Black Student Association and the Work Based Learning program. Overall I had a great experience, I met teachers and friends that I currently still have bonds with , I was accepted into over 30 schools and got over 700k in scholarships with the help of teachers and advisors. It could be a bit rowdy but most high schools are, North Springs was good to me.

Our son transferred to North Springs second semester of 2021. He was unhappy at the new North Fulton Innovation Academy. He left the new state of the art school for an older school which honestly gave me pause.He returned for the 2022-2023 school year and is continuing to thrive. He is receiving an...
