Atlantic Beach Elementary is in the heart of town on Sherry Drive and has been an active part of the community for decades. This public school teaches children from kindergarten through 5th grade, and has close to 500 students and 30 teachers, which offers an ideal student-to-teacher ratio. The staff and faculty have been devoted to the school for generations, with many returning to the school many years after being students there.
Community support for this school is outstanding. Friends of Atlantic Beach Elementary, locally known as FABE, is a 501(c)(3) organization that raises funds to support the school. The FABE Board is comprised of parents, teachers and community members whose continued focus is on providing the best elementary school environment for students, teachers and the community.
Many community events are held at the school, including the annual Halloween parade and the popular Dolphin Dash. On the school grounds are a playground, basketball court and a sports track.

Atlantic Beach Elementary is an extremely exceptional school. The teachers and staff do a wonderful job of making the students, parents and visitors feel welcome and safe. The classrooms are organized, inviting and well managed. I look forward to volunteering there whenever I can.

What a great little school. It's amazing watching my daughter read and using the reading strategies she has learned from her wonderful kindergarten teacher. Also, the new principal has started some wonderful new traditions, 100 acts of kindness on the 100th day of school, spring pictures on the beac...

This school is truly a GREAT comminity school. So great , many families from outside the zone special assign here. This school community (administration, faculty, staff, volunteers) nurture mind , body, and spirit of ALL students & put the safety of students first. And I appreciate all those at ABE...
