I joined William Smith High School on my last year of high school, needing 5 credits to graduate. They were so compassionate and helpful during my transition from Mexico to the United States. All the teachers treated me fairly and always were there to help me. This school is different in the ways that they teach and how the school is managed and that dynamic helped me a lot.

I really like how they do a lot of hands on learning including various field trips throughout the years. At this school they taught me how to build community and get along with other people. I really feel like this school was preparing me for the real world and the only downside I would have to say there is would be the lack of options when it comes to classes.

WIlliam Smith High school is a fun project base school that tries to stay away from the traditional way of thinking. Here at this school the relatiionship between the students is very positive. Teachers encorage students to express themselves through learning by looking into their point of view to figure out problems and finding solutions. There is plenty of diversity where everyone is treated with respect and involved with one another. My one complaint is that the food could always be improved.

Great school. Very diverse and make learning interesting for the kids. Small classes, Small student body definitely makes it more personal for the students.

I graduated class of 1995. This school may not be for everyone. I say this only because you achieve at your own pace. This is a school for young adults who prefer to be responsible for themselves. The life lessons and academic learning i received still help me to this day.

My son has been at William Smith now for a couple years & it was THE BEST MOVE we have ever made for a school. The principal & the staff are wonderful & actively try to embody the spirit of Expeditionary Learning. Cannot recommend it higher.
