Anderson Mill Elementary was founded in 1977 and is named for the neighborhood in north Austin where it is located. It offers the area’s International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, which aims to develop “inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.” With an enrollment of roughly 500 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, the student-to-teacher ratio is 13-to-1. Anderson Mill aims to inspire all scholars to archive their fullest potential as global citizens. They do this through nurturing curiosity, developing skills for inquiry and acting with a sense of fairness and justice. The school has a dual language program which offers students the opportunity to engage in a multi-lingual curriculum and community. The school also features flexible and collaborative learning spaces as well as outdoor learning spaces. Anderson Mill’s mission is to “embrace diversity and develop lifelong learners by providing equitable support to scholars and community.”

i love that AME is very creative learning experience for my kids, they have many different classes and results show lots of progress in my kids.

I would say it between the IB program, the ethnic and economic diversity, and the parent envolvement, AME is a 10 of 10
