The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

In my opinion, Platte Canyon High School offers a lot to those unsure of what they want for their future. While the school is small, it is also very curated for students, especially those who want to go into the military or local colleges(even some in nearby states). You may find people who are also interested in similar things since it is a small school and a lot of the people might be in the same boat. Personally, growing up with Platte Canyon was great, so I hope it can be the same for someone else.

The teachers cared when I attended, and it was easy for them to have one-on-one time as the classes were small. My graduating class was less than 70 people. The only thing I would change is adding more extracurricular activities. All in all, it was a pretty decent school.

Platte Canyon High school was an interesting experience, to say the least from good teachers to bad teachers to meeting people that have changed my life forever. the school itself has the typical small-town school stereotypes with people knowing everyone and their first cousin. The hardest part about bailey is getting out of bailey it seems most people come back to bailey and find a job that'll just get you through instead of looking to the future. most people who attend this school develop extremely close relationships with the people around them, naturally, they had all probably grown up in the Platte canyon school district. it creates this tight knitted bond that cant truly be described but is best known as bailey strong.
If i could give this 0 stars i would. I faced tons of racism there and the teachers didn't even care. I watched other black students be called the n word and when she got mad and tried to call the kid out the teachers punished the girl who was racially targeted. They also condoned prejudice of not j...
Platte Canyon High School has given me a great perspective on learning, thanks to all the amazing teachers and programs. Attending this school has provided me with opportunity and attitude I don’t believe I could have received elsewhere.
Smaller school, good facilities, competent staff that care about student performance. Very pleased with high school, not a fan of 'no homework' policy of middle school. Safe enviornment.
