My overall experience with West is that the school has been so involved in my life to not appreciate it. I'm last in a long line of the other kids back home who went here and while they haven't had the best things to say about it I can confidently say that the school is pretty good overall. Classes may be on the easier side at times, but there have been many lessons I've learned that have come from being around here. In terms of changes, I wish for there to be more community among students across different groups.

When I attended west high school I loved it. I did wish they had more resources for college sign ups and things like that. I didn't have too much support with college.

West is a very welcoming school. All the teachers and staff are very nice and do things to make everyone feel involved. There are various clubs in which students get to participate and be themselves. I think it is an overall very good school and can be a very safe place for students.

If your child is disabled or mentally ill, I would advise against sending them here. The staff care more about controlling and harassing students than providing support, and accommodations for students who's struggle comes from something they cannot control. As for safety, there's fights constantly....

As a former student of West High, I must caution any parent wishing to send their children here especially if your child has special needs of any kind.the staff is lazy and cares more about browbeating students and keeping them under their thumb than they do about actually teaching or fostering a cr...

My experience and my child experience was the worst. She never could get in contact with her counselor, Maria Riveria, because she was always busy. My daughter had to be her own counselor which is sad. I recommend future parents and students to do your research before enrolling your life at this sch...
