GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Baltimore School for the Arts is one of the Top 3 performing art schools in the country. Academics are their best kept secret. Being located in the heart of Baltimore City, just a few steps from the Peabody Conservatory and Library the Students Enoch Pratt Library and the Walter's museum, it is a truly enriching academic experience. The students are so focused in their arts that there is no Highschool cliques environment, only a true community in arts and academics.

For some people, it's the perfect fit, but for others, you become alienated and lose interest in what you set out to do.

There is a rigorous performing arts and academic program. There could be more clubs and administrative involvement.

She has loved this school since her shadow day in her 8th grade year. With the rigorous schedule that she had in high school , it...

No school is perfect but this school has been perfect for my child. The student support team has been especially helpful with the accommodations for my child’s special needs via a 504 plan.

I am a violin major at BSA and I must say that this is probably one of the best places to be if you like art. I can't speak for the other departments, but for the music department at least, I feel like there isn't much competition or pressure amongst the students because although everyone here is ta...
