Overall, MDIHS is a good school. Unfortunately, they lack severely in making students feel supported in their career journeys. Attending MDIHS was better than attending any closer school, but I always felt like a task to them, not a person.

I have had a fairly good time in classes, and the many extracurriculars I have been involved in. I would like it if the AP teachers did less lecturing and more teaching

MDIHS does a really good job of creating a progressive & accessible learning environment. The grading techniques and openness of the teachers is very helpful to students. I think the best thing about MDIHS are its extracurriculars. Organizations like the Anti-Racism Task Force, Eco team, and the Restorative Board are what's making MDI a safer environment for students and staff, and these need to receive more support and energy from administrators.

A truly excellent public high school; its quality would definitely match some private high schools. The arts programs are fantastic, the teachers are generally highly-regarded, and it manages to get students into some pretty great colleges. I'd say the only significant drawback would be the guidance...

From day 1 i was encouraged by the teachers here to quit school they told me school just wasn't for me they also talked four of my friends into quitting school diplomas are only for non-troubled students at MDI

Drugs are a huge problem at this school. The school administrators refuse to deal with the drug problem. Drug dogs are not allowed so the kids can feel that the staff trust them. Be care full sending children here

MDI High School is an excellent school. The school has a strong leadership as far a teachers and the principal staff very strong and love the children that go to the school. The academic program that is offered is wonderful, there is so much for the young adults to do.
