Turner High School is a very small school which leads to them having limited opportunities. The school very much lacks in diversity and does not deal with student issues very well. The councilors and higher-ups do not provide a lot of guidance With students when it comes to mental health they provide help with your schedule and not much else.

I can see why this school would be great for the "normal kids," because they can take all the electives they want to prepare them for their future, but as a special education student, Math Labs and Structured study halls, as well as core classes having to be taken at a specific time during the day get in the way of that for me, leaving me to have to learn the things I want to learn on my own time, which forces me to refuse to make friends so that I don't feel bad when I end up ditching them for my personal studies. I'm also planning on getting a job next year, which will only make me feel more busy and isolated than I do now. I'm writing this during the quarantine, and let me just say I love being "homeschooled" MUCH more than I enjoyed being at Turner. I have much more time to focus on what I care about. People wonder why some autistic kids don't like to socialise. This is why.

As a senior at Turner High School I would rate my experience as excellent. Turner High School is filled with nothing but love, respect, and kindness. All of the teachers will do everything in their power to help you understand the material you are learning and all of the students are caring and respectful. No matter how many times I say "I just want school to be over with," I know I'm going to miss all of the teachers, students, and the principal of Turner High School. Turner High has helped me grow into the person I am today. For Example, joining the Forensics Team, Chorus program, One Acts, and Environmental Club has shaped me into the person I am today and It's weird to think If Turner didn't offer any of those programs I don't know exactly who I would be. Overall, Turner High School has made me the person I am today and I could never thank the Administration, teachers, or students enough.
